How the Wordle solver works
Enter each guess you have made and tap each tile until its colour matches the game. The solver then keeps only the words that would have produced exactly the same colours, including correct handling of repeated letters. The shorter the list, the closer you are to the answer.
Tips
Start with a word that has common, different letters. After two guesses, use the suggested next guesses: they are the remaining words that share the most letters with the other candidates.
Uses the ENABLE word list, so a rare answer used by a specific game may occasionally be missing.
How to use the wordle solver
- Type your first guess in the top row (five letters).
- Tap each tile until its colour matches the game: grey, yellow or green.
- Read the shortlist and the suggested next guesses.
- Enter your next guess in row 2 and repeat until one word is left.
Example: If you guess CRANE and only the C turns green, the list narrows to words that start with C and contain none of R, A, N or E. Start with words that use five different, common letters, then pick suggestions that split the remaining candidates.
