๐ŸŽต Rhyming Words Finder

Find words that rhyme with any word, grouped by number of syllables.

How the rhyme finder works

A perfect rhyme repeats the sounds from the last stressed vowel to the end of the word, so light rhymes with night and polite even though they are spelled differently. The finder matches on pronunciation using the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary, then groups results by syllable count so you can match a poem's rhythm.

If a word is not in the dictionary, the tool falls back to words with a similar spelling ending and says so.

How to use the rhyming words finder

  1. Type the word you want to rhyme.
  2. Choose from the results, grouped by number of syllables.
  3. Match the syllable count to your line or lyric.

Example: Searching light returns bright, night, flight and height. Words that are spelled differently but sound the same, such as polite and light, are included because the match is by sound.
